michelangelo-tmnt-classic-collection-2013
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Classic Collection – Michelangelo (2013)

Released in 2013 to bridge the original 1988 Playmates TMNT phenomenon with the Nickelodeon animated series revival, the Classic Collection gave TMNT completionists a fresh chance to own faithful recreations of the iconic first-wave figures. Michelangelo is arguably the most beloved of the four core Turtles, and this release captures that party-dude energy with a sculpt that mirrors the vintage 1988 original almost point for point — making it an essential piece for anyone building a complete Classic Collection run.

This is a mint-on-card (MOC) example, displayed in a crisp, intact blister against the vibrant card art. The card front carries the classic TMNT logo alongside the green "Classic Collection — Originally Released in 1988" banner in the upper-right corner and the Assortment No. 90900 in the upper-left. The card back sports the Nickelodeon TMNT co-branding — a clear distinguishing mark from the vintage 1988 card — along with a six-panel "Evolution of the Turtles" origin story strip, individual character bios, and a lineup shot of all five Classic Collection figures plus the Original 1988 Turtle Party Wagon. The full orange nunchaku accessory tree remains uncut and secured in the blister.

For collectors pursuing the complete Classic Collection set — Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Splinter — this MOC Mikey is one of the harder examples to find in display-ready condition. The Nickelodeon co-branding gives it a distinct identity as a crossover collectible, appealing equally to vintage TMNT enthusiasts and fans of the 2012 Nick cartoon era. Whether wall-mounted on a card backer or displayed alongside the rest of the wave, this piece holds its own as a shelf centerpiece.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0832/2596/8956/files/image_001_9ad88f24-6734-4d02-b664-6e380615dc11.jpg?v=1792174986
