Hasbro finally delivered with VC167 in Wave 12 of the 2020 3.75-inch assortment, and the collector community took notice immediately, landing it on multiple "Top 10 TVC Figures of 2020" lists. This is the definitive modern version of an OT-era icon.

The figure features an all-new sculpt built specifically for this release, setting it apart from both the 1978 Kenner original and the 2006 Hasbro iteration. It ships on the distinctive dark-field retro Kenner-style card with chrome-effect border, classic Star Wars logo, and a pink blister tray — the "new colored card back" that became a talking point among Wave 12 collectors. The card reverse displays the full eight-figure Wave 12 lineup, including Luke Skywalker (Stormtrooper), K-2SO, Clone Commander Wolffe, and General Lando Calrissian. This example is presented in vintage carded condition, intact and on card.

Wave 12 is a strong cross-era assortment, but the Power Droid stands out as the wave's most long-awaited entry — forty-plus years in the making. It pairs naturally with other OT background characters in a TVC display and fills a slot that no modern collector could previously check off. Whether you're building a complete TVC run or focusing on Original Trilogy droids, VC167 is an essential piece.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0832/2596/8956/files/image_001_06a14296-759d-49f6-9975-361209ef3418.jpg?v=1791304440
