The line was built around a deliberate tribute to the original Kenner aesthetic: premium super-articulation on modern sculpts presented on packaging that consciously echoed the cardbacks fans grew up with in the late 1970s and early 1980s. For Star Wars collectors, it was a landmark debut.

This example is a vintage carded specimen on the iconic black ESB-themed cardback, with the "Star Wars: The Vintage Collection" logo in green on the reverse and a VC04 designation in the upper corner. The card back pays homage to the original Luke Skywalker Kenner card from 1980–1982, and includes a thumbnail lineup of Wave 1 companions — Darth Vader, Han Solo, 4-LOM, Leia, and C-3PO. A "Free Boba Fett" mail-away burst sticker appears prominently on the card front alongside the Kenner bubble insert branding, making this a particularly characterful piece of 2010-era packaging history. The figure itself is carded and unplayed-with, sitting in its green-tinted bubble.

Community reviewers consistently ranked this release among the finest Luke Skywalker figures Hasbro had produced at that point, citing its ball-jointed hips and highly detailed Bespin fatigues sculpt as upgrades that stood apart from prior 3¾-inch treatments. For Vintage Collection completists building out Wave 1 or any collector focused on Empire Strikes Back-era Luke, this carded piece represents an essential and display-ready entry in the line.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0832/2596/8956/files/image_001_2c00da06-6676-4687-a381-9aeccd99bb58.jpg?v=1790818016
https://www.jaystoysandgames.com/products/star-wars-the-vintage-collection-luke-skywalker-bespin-fatigues-vc04-2010-hasbro
