The figure arrived in Wave 2 (assortment 20819/97568) alongside Sandtrooper, General Grievous, Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Clone Trooper — a stacked wave that cemented the relaunched line's credibility from the outset.

The figure itself features an entirely new mold with a highly praised screen-accurate likeness of Emperor Palpatine from Revenge of the Sith, paired with removable Sith robes that added a level of detail rarely seen in the line at that time. This example is a vintage carded specimen — the dark Kenner-style cardback presents cleanly with bold Revenge of the Sith branding, and the clear plastic bubble retains the figure and its red lightsaber securely. A "Free Boba Fett" purchase-incentive starburst on the card front is an additional period-authentic detail that resonates with collectors of 2010-era Vintage Collection packaging.

VC12 is considered by much of the collector community to be one of the harder finds from this wave, making it a meaningful addition to any Vintage Collection display. Whether you're building a complete Wave 2 run, focusing on prequel-trilogy villains, or chasing the broader 2010 relaunch roster, this first-issue Sidious card represents a genuine collecting milestone in the modern Hasbro Star Wars line.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0832/2596/8956/files/image_001_96cd1c4e-be50-460a-bd1e-af13da9cbcc3.jpg?v=1790816844
https://www.jaystoysandgames.com/products/star-wars-the-vintage-collection-revenge-of-the-sith-darth-sidious-vc12-2010-hasbro
