The VC231 release is Hasbro's modern single-card iteration, presented on the iconic black Kenner-style card that deliberately echoes the original late-1970s Star Wars packaging. For collectors who grew up with the Kenner originals, the chrome "Star Wars" logo, retro border, and movie-still photography of two Stormtroopers on the card front hit all the right nostalgic notes while delivering a thoroughly modern 3.75-inch figure underneath.

This example is a vintage carded specimen — the black card stock and clear plastic blister bubble are present, with the figure seated in its red inner tray. The card back carries item number VC231 and showcases the five-figure wave alongside Bespin Security Guard (Helder Spinoza), Imperial Gunner, Bespin Security Guard (Isdam Edian), and Artoo-Detoo (R2-D2), providing strong shelf context for anyone building out that assortment.
