Originally introduced in the 2010 TVC launch wave, this slot was revisited a decade later as part of Wave 26, bringing Hasbro's Photo-Real paint technology to what many collectors consider the definitive super-articulated C-3PO sculpt. The 2020 release reinvigorated interest in the character's TVC presence — especially alongside a concurrent Target-exclusive Droids-carded variant — making this black-card release a standout moment in the line's modern era.

This example is presented vintage and on card, retaining the striking black Empire Strikes Back card with its Bespin Carbon-Freezing Chamber background art and the retro Kenner logo at the bottom. The bubble houses the super-articulated C-3PO figure with Photo-Real deco finish. The card back is numbered VC06 and displays an eight-figure Wave 26 lineup including Han Solo (Bespin), Luke Skywalker (Bespin), General Lando Calrissian, The Mandalorian, Cara Dune, Remnant Stormtrooper, and Clone Trooper. Item number E9572 / E5912 ASST. and the 2020 Hasbro copyright are confirmed on the back.

The VC06 sculpt is widely regarded among TVC enthusiasts as a high-water mark for C-3PO at 3.75 inches, and the Photo-Real repaint elevates it further with film-accurate metallic finish detail. Whether displayed carded alongside other Wave 26 Bespin figures or as a centerpiece of an Empire Strikes Back focused collection, this release appeals equally to completionists building out the black-card run and fans seeking the best-ever Threepio in the scale.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0832/2596/8956/files/image_001_c2358dce-a3e8-4072-977b-ebad35e33a84.jpg?v=1790818230
https://www.jaystoysandgames.com/products/star-wars-the-vintage-collection-the-empire-strikes-back-see-threepio-c-3po-vc06-2020-hasbro
