DC Multiverse Gold Label Collection – Green Lantern (DC vs. Vampires) Action Figure (2023 McFarlane Toys)
Horror-themed DC Elseworlds collecting doesn't get more specific — or more visually striking — than vampiric Hal Jordan. Rooted in the 2021–2022 Black Label miniseries DC vs. Vampires, this Gold Label release captures Hal at his most corrupted: a turned Lantern whose power ring now serves something far darker than the Green Lantern Corps. It's a figure built for collectors who prioritize thematic storytelling in their displays, and it functions equally well as a centerpiece for a horror-DC shelf or as part of a complete DC vs. Vampires Gold Label grouping alongside the wave's Superman, Batman, and Black Lightning releases.
This example is carded in McFarlane's window-box prestige format — the standard presentation for Gold Label Collection releases. The black outer box is structurally sound, with no crushing or warping to the corners. The large clear blister window displays the figure cleanly; our hands-on assessment finds no significant yellowing or optical distortion to the plastic. The seller has noted a few slight, small scuff marks around the edges of the plastic display — typical of retail handling — which do not affect the figure's visibility or the overall presentation from the front. The Gold Label Collection medallion badge is present and intact on the upper-left face of the package. Card graphics, including the dramatic full-bleed painted comic art of vampiric Hal Jordan on the rear panel, are vivid and fully legible. The hang tab header shows light handling wear consistent with a retail display origin.
The sculptural work is the headline here. The vampiric Hal Jordan head sculpt — fanged open mouth, glowing green energy hair molded in translucent plastic, red-eyed deco — is exclusive to this release and appears in no standard DC Multiverse Green Lantern figure. The 7-inch scale keeps it shelf-compatible with the broader DC Multiverse line, and the 22-point articulation callout printed on the hang tab is consistent with McFarlane's Q4 2023 output. Green energy construct accessories are visible through the blister, molded in translucent green plastic that photographs well under display lighting.
As a Walmart-exclusive retailer-allocated drop from Q4 2023, this was not a wide-release product. Gold Label distribution is deliberately finite, and secondary-market demand among DC Multiverse completists tends to reflect that scarcity over time. The DC vs. Vampires horror theme has maintained a dedicated collector following since the miniseries wrapped, making this particular release one of the more sought-after entries in the sub-line. The rear panel includes a DC Universe Infinite QR code and trilingual copy in English, French, and Spanish — both standard authenticity markers for an official McFarlane Toys production run.
