The Vampire Joker from McFarlane's Gold Label sub-line is one of the few DC Multiverse releases that crosses over cleanly between dedicated DC figure collectors and fans of the DC Black Label imprint. Tied to the 2021–2022 comic series DC vs. Vampires, this figure leans fully into the series' horror aesthetic rather than softening it for a general audience, which is exactly what the Gold Label designation was built for.
This piece is part of the McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse Gold Label Collection, a Walmart-exclusive tier designed from the outset for adult collectors. The Gold Label sub-line carries intentionally tighter production runs compared to mainline DC Multiverse figures, and this Joker release is no exception. The Walmart-exclusive footprint further restricts availability, which has historically translated to stronger secondary-market demand for Gold Label entries once retail supply dries up.
The packaging is a collector-grade window box — black with a large front blister window displaying the figure and accessory in full. The embossed Gold Label medallion appears prominently in the upper-left corner of the window, and the rear panel carries a full-bleed close-up of the vampiric Joker from the comic series' interior art, rendered in deep reds and blacks. The box shows no significant shelf wear. The blister window is clear and free from yellowing, and the box structure is sound on all panels and corners — a solid example of this release in its original presentation.
The sculpt itself sets this figure apart from every other Joker in the DC Multiverse lineup. The head sculpt depicts a fully vampiric transformation — sunken cheeks, blood-red eyes, exposed fangs, and a pallor that reads distinctly undead. The torn and gore-detailed purple suit deco reinforces the horror narrative without sacrificing the character's signature silhouette. With 22 points of articulation, this figure holds dynamic poses well for display. The included accessory — a classic Joker-style mallet — grounds the character in his iconic identity even within the vampire context, and it is not replicated in any mainline McFarlane Joker release.
