Marvel Legends Spider-Man Retro Collection – J. Jonah Jameson Action Figure (2020 Hasbro)
Civilian and supporting characters rarely make it to the 6-inch Marvel Legends scale, which is precisely what makes this 2020 Hasbro release such a standout. J. Jonah Jameson — the Daily Bugle's blowhard Editor-in-Chief and perennial Spider-Man antagonist — had never received a dedicated Legends-scale figure before this release, making it an instant grail for Spider-Man universe display builders. Hasbro's Spider-Man Retro Collection deliberately channels the look of 1990s Toy Biz animated-series packaging, and this card is among the most faithful recreations in the line, complete with the bold yellow "Marvel Comics / Spider-Man" logo over a deep purple cityscape and web-pattern background.
This example is a vintage carded specimen. The card presents a vibrant, visually sharp front with the character art panel and multilingual "WITH DAILY BUGLE!" callout intact, and the bubble sits securely against the card with no notable separation. The back carries the full five-language character bio and animated-style character art in excellent display condition. The figure is housed in the original blister alongside the Daily Bugle newspaper accessory and swap hands — the accessories most praised by collectors — making this the complete, comics-display-preferred version, distinct from the later No Way Home Armadillo BAF wave repack with its movie-likeness head.
Sourced and assessed firsthand by Jay's Toys, this is an authentic Hasbro product (item PIN00053050, © 2020 Hasbro, Pawtucket RI). As one of the rarer civilian entries in the Retro Collection and the character's only comic-carded Legends release, availability is limited.
