Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes Pre-Release Weekend is happening June 19–21 at both Jay's locations. Pre-Release means you get to crack packs, build a deck on-site, and play with cards before the official June 26 street date. First look. First pulls. First game.
Why This Set Is Different
This isn't just another crossover. Marvel Super Heroes is the largest set in Magic history — over 600 mechanically unique cards featuring the Avengers, Fantastic Four, S.H.I.E.L.D., Heroes for Hire, and a stacked villain lineup: Thanos, Doctor Doom, Loki, Killmonger, and more.
Thanos himself is a five-color Commander built to collect all the Infinity Stones. The Mind Stone is the set's headliner chase card — with a Gauntlet variant that slots in alongside the Soul Stone from the Spider-Man set, completing Thanos's grip one release at a time. Fewer than 150 of the most premium versions exist across the entire print run.
New mechanics make every character feel like themselves. Hulk gets stronger as he takes damage. Only the worthy can wield Mjölnir. Doctor Doom plays through strategy and connive. Sagas look like actual comic book pages.

What to Expect at Pre-Release
Each player receives a Pre-Release Kit containing booster packs and a stamped promo card. You'll use those packs to build a 40-card sealed deck on-site, then play rounds against other players in the store. It's a low-pressure, high-fun format — experienced players and complete newcomers both show up and have a good time.
New to Magic? No problem. Our staff will help you get up to speed, and the Marvel characters make the card text click instantly. If you can tell the difference between the Hulk and Bruce Banner, you're already halfway there.
