WWE Retro Series "Woken" Matt Hardy Action Figure (2019 Mattel)
The "Woken" Matt Hardy persona was a genuine cult phenomenon — born from the viral "Broken Universe" storyline and carried into WWE in 2018 — making this Mattel Retro release one of the more character-rich figures in the line. Mattel's WWE Retro series was designed from the ground up to channel the chunky, limited-articulation spirit of classic LJN and Hasbro WWF figures from the 1980s, bridging nostalgia-driven adult collectors and a new generation of wrestling fans in one package. Hardy's inclusion alongside series mates Diesel, Elias, and Junkyard Dog gives this wave a strong cross-era appeal that few Retro assortments matched.
This is a vintage carded example on its original blue retro-style blister card, featuring the classic WWF-era "W" logo in gold and the unmistakable "DELETE! DELETE! DELETE!" header across the card back. The bubble presents cleanly and the card graphics remain vivid and crisp — a strong display piece on its own terms. The figure itself captures Hardy in blue trunks with his signature long hair and yellow-highlighted tips, and includes a pull-back Flying Leg Drop action feature. Item number GDC41, Asst.
