Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham City transformed Oswald Cobblepot from a dandyish comic eccentric into one of gaming's most unsettling crime lords — cold, brutal, and impossible to ignore. McFarlane Toys captured that version faithfully in 2022 with this DC Multiverse Arkham City villain wave, and The Penguin is the standout entry. Rather than repurposing an existing body, McFarlane engineered an entirely original, compact buck to match the game character's stout frame — a meaningful investment that shows in the silhouette and proportions at the 7-inch collector scale.
This is piece 4 of 4 in the Solomon Grundy Collect-to-Build wave. The included BAF component is the torso section, which connects to the head, arms, and legs distributed across the other three wave figures. For anyone assembling the full Solomon Grundy, this is the final, non-negotiable piece. If you already have the other three figures, this closes the build.
The figure itself delivers the Arkham City design in convincing detail: the layered, fur-collared overcoat, battered top hat, and the game-accurate milky left eye are all present and rendered with the texture work McFarlane's DC Multiverse line is known for. Twenty-two moving parts provide a solid range of posing options for a figure built around a deliberately compact frame. The gold duck-head umbrella is faithfully reproduced, and the alternate unmasked head — showing Cobblepot without the hat — gives collectors a second strong display option.
This example has been assessed firsthand at Jay's Toys. The package is vintage and remains sealed with all contents in the original factory tray. The card back is structurally sound with strong corners. The clear blister window is intact and undistorted. Per seller notes, scuff and smudge marks are present on the front and side of the plastic display window — visible but not affecting the contents. These details are accurately reflected in the photos provided.
Carded examples of this wave are increasingly scarce. Whether you're closing out a Solomon Grundy build, anchoring an Arkham villain shelf, or simply after the most accurate Penguin figure produced at this scale, this is a hard one to pass on.
