DC Super Friends Lex Luthor with Kryptonite Blaster Action Figure (2007 Mattel)
Villain figures from Mattel's short-lived DC Super Friends line (2007) were packed at lower ratios than heroes, making sealed examples genuinely hard to find nearly two decades on. Positioned between Fisher-Price Imaginext and the collector-grade DC Universe Classics launching that same year, DC Super Friends occupied its own vibrant niche — and Lex Luthor, in his iconic purple-and-green battle armor, is one of the line's most sought-after entries for completists building a full Mattel DC 2007 display.
This example remains on its original blister-on-card with the bright orange-and-yellow gradient cardback fully intact. The "Big Power for Little Ones" tagline is clearly legible, and the unopened bubble holds Lex Luthor alongside his oversized Kryptonite Blaster. The Build-a-Pic card insert — a cross-sell mechanic unique to this line — is present and undisturbed. The cardback displays the full wave lineup: Superman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Batman, Aquaman, and My First Batmobile. The hanger tab shows a small tear consistent with shelf display, and there is residue from a previous sticker on the front of the bubble near the top right corner. Card stock and bubble are otherwise solid, with no punched holes or crushing.
