DC Direct's Justice League line remains one of the most respected collector series of the 2000s, translating Alex Ross's photorealistic painted artwork from the DC maxi-series "Justice" into three-dimensional form with sculptor Karen Palinko. Batgirl appears exclusively in Series 8 — the final wave of an eight-series run — alongside Supergirl, Toyman, and Captain Cold, making her among the later and more sparsely distributed releases in the entire line. For collectors completing the full run or chasing the harder-to-find back-half waves, this is a meaningful gap-filler.
This is a vintage 2008 piece presented in its original box. The cardback is present and the box shows light shelf wear consistent with age; the window bubble is intact and the figure is undisplayed inside its plastic tray with display base included. The Alex Ross–designed packaging features full Series 8 character art across the header and a complete "Also Available" listing of all seven prior series on the back — a snapshot of the line's remarkable scope. The box side carries the "From the Pages of Justice" banner with painted character artwork, and the opposite panel features a close-up Ross portrait of Batgirl with the character description text.
Jay's Toys has assessed this piece firsthand: the figure remains secured in its original tray, paint detail on the black-and-yellow costume is clean, and the red hair sculpt is sharp — consistent with Palinko's high production standards throughout the line. We stand behind the condition described, and returns are accepted if the item significantly differs from our listing. Authentic DC Direct product — not a reproduction.
