Long before Zoro claimed Shusui, its original owner carved a legend of his own — and now Ryuma from Monsters: 103 Mercies Dragon Damnation makes his S.H.Figuarts debut in a release that serious One Piece and Oda completionists won't want to miss. Based on Eiichiro Oda's anime film adaptation of his classic short story, this figure captures the wandering samurai at his most iconic, white-and-green gradient kimono and all.
Standing 6.1 inches (15.5 cm) tall, Ryuma is constructed from ABS and PVC with deliberate material choices that reward posers and photographers alike. The lower kimono panels are rendered in softer plastic, allowing the fabric to flex and flow naturally when repositioning the legs — a thoughtful engineering detail that prevents the stiff, restricted look common in robed figures. The white-to-teal ombre dye pattern on the sleeves and hem is cleanly graduated, giving the figure a premium painted finish that photographs exceptionally well.
Four interchangeable expression parts cover Ryuma's full emotional range: a composed neutral smirk, a focused combat grimace, a wide open battle cry, and a broad grin — each swapping cleanly and holding securely on the neck peg. Five interchangeable hand parts (three left, two right) let collectors shift between resting, gripping, and open gesture poses with ease. Two versions of the legendary black blade Shusui are included — one drawn for combat displays and one sheathed for relaxed, traveling poses.
