Star Wars The Vintage Collection Shadow Trooper (VC163) (2019 Hasbro)
Few entries in the modern Vintage Collection stirred as much collector enthusiasm as the Shadow Trooper (VC163) when it hit shelves in 2019. Rooted in the Star Wars Expanded Universe — where it earned the nickname "Blackhole Stormtrooper" — this all-black deco variant carries decades of Legends lore into the retro-Kenner format that hardcore collectors love. Its EU origins set it apart from mainline troopers, and its army-building appeal drove retail sell-outs shortly after release, making surviving carded examples genuinely hard to track down.
This example is presented on the classic black card with silver border that defines the Vintage Collection aesthetic. The card back is numbered VC163 and features a nine-figure lineup from the 2019 wave, placing the Shadow Trooper alongside the Knight of Ren, Zorii Bliss, and Sith Jet Trooper — a wave that blended EU Legends picks with sequel-trilogy additions. The front bears the iconic Kenner logo, while Hasbro and Disney branding appear on the reverse. The figure itself is carded and comes with two blaster accessories visible through the clear bubble. Condition is vintage — please refer to the product images for the precise state of the card and bubble.
For Vintage Collection completists, VC163 represents exactly the kind of deep-cut, fandom-first choice that distinguishes the line from mass-market releases. The 3.75-inch scale fits seamlessly alongside the broader Vintage Collection and legacy Kenner collections alike, and the Shadow Trooper's striking monochromatic look makes it a natural display centerpiece. Whether you're building an EU shelf or filling the gap left by a retail sell-out years ago, this is a figure that defined the best of the 2019 wave.

Jays is my first stop in collecting. I preorder things through Walmart, Amazon, Hasbro Pulse, etc., but Jays always seem to get the items and either meet or beat the other companies pricing. I always end up cancelling my pre-orders and going with Jays. Better selection, price and MUCH MUCH better shipping quality. You can't even compare anyone else's shipping and packing to Jays. And that's why Jay's blows them all out of the water.
Great fast shipping, packaging with care. I am definitely buying from Jay's again! Such peace of mind knowing my items will arrive minty. 5 stars!
Perfect and careful packaging, shipped super quick. Thank you, will definitely be following the store!
Didn't pull any punches in item description. Came extremely fast and well packed. Extremely happy being a first time buyer! Thank you.
I've been buying from Jay's for a while now and I am never disappointed with the experience. Prices that can't be beat, easy PayPal option, and lots of bubble wrap surrounding the products. The fact that they go out of their way to make consumers happy keeps me coming back.
This is my 3rd or 4th time I have ordered from Jay's. The orders are always correct and arrive pretty quick and packaged extremely well. Best in the industry.

Yep. We’ve been hunting plastic treasures since the ‘90s. We speak fluent collector (MOC, BAF, grail hunting), we’ve camped outside stores for midnight releases, and we run this place like the shop we always wished existed. Professional enablers at your service. 😎
30 days to decide if it’s true love. Not happy? Full refund to your original payment method. Damaged? We replace or refund fast. Just keep items in the condition you got them, and we’ll make it right — because the only drama in collecting should be choosing a display pose. One exception: trading card game product is final sale, since a sealed box can’t be verified once it leaves our hands.
Calling dibs costs you $0 today — we only charge your card when it ships. No awkward “I paid months ago” limbo. Mixing in-stock + pre-orders? In-stock ships now; pre-orders ship together once the last one lands, and shipping’s charged on each leg (pro tip: check ship dates before combining pre-orders). Dates can shift — we’ll keep you posted faster than Spider-Man slings webs. And if we ever can’t deliver (rare), you’re not charged a dime.
