Star Wars: Attack of the Clones – Darth Tyranus (Geonosian Escape) (2002 Hasbro)
The first mass-retail 3.75-inch Count Dooku figure, the 2002 AOTC Saga Geonosian Escape release is a cornerstone villain piece for any prequel-trilogy collection. Issued at the height of Episode II excitement, the AOTC blue-card Saga run is widely regarded among completists as a high point of prequel-era 3.75-inch design — film-accurate sculpts paired with play-action gimmicks that hold up decades on. As Collection 1, #03, Darth Tyranus was among the very first figures collectors pulled from shelves in 2002, making tight MOC examples genuinely difficult to source today.
This example presents on the original AOTC blue blister card in vintage condition. The bubble houses the figure alongside his red-bladed curved-hilt lightsaber and translucent Force Lightning accessory — both accessories are present and sealed within the bubble. The squeeze-leg lightsaber dueling action and magnetic Force-attract feature are called out on the cardback, which retains crisp graphics and legible spine stamping. The "Collect Them All" panel references Obi-Wan Kenobi Acklay Battle, Padmé Amidala Droid Factory Chase, and Mace Windu Arena Confrontation — authentic period cross-sell artwork that adds to the display appeal of the complete package.
