Transformers Universe (1.0) Autobot Ratchet – Machine Robot Rescue Series (2003 Hasbro)
For CHUG-era and G1-nostalgia collectors, the 2003 Transformers Universe 1.0 line represents a pivotal transitional moment — a Hasbro crossover effort that reached back into Robots in Disguise tooling and dressed it in G1-inspired livery before the Classics line made that approach mainstream. Autobot Ratchet from the Machine Robot Rescue sub-series is a prime example: a redeco of the RiD X-Brawn mold reimagined as an Emergency Rescue SUV, directly evoking the beloved G1 Autobot medic and sharing its mold lineage with Universe Ironhide — a pairing frequently cited by collectors as complementary display pieces alongside the chrome-gunned Henkei variant.
This listing is for a vintage carded example presented on the original dark red/orange lightning-bolt blister card. The card face reads "Autobot Ratchet – Machine Robot Rescue™" with the Transformers Universe logo prominent above. The bubble is intact and clear, holding the figure securely in alt mode alongside the two included battle weapons — one of which is the detachable front grill that converts to a robot-mode weapon. The card back features a tri-lingual Unicron-war bio (English, French, and Spanish), robot- and alt-mode photography, a Skill Level 3 indicator, and "Also available" callouts for Inferno and Reptilion. Item numbers P/N 6238461000 and C-1063A are printed on the card back per original factory spec.
