Spider-Man: The New Animated Series – Venom (Jaw Chomping Action) Action Figure (1994 Toy Biz)
For collectors chasing the foundational pieces of 90s action figure culture, few items hit harder than a Wave 1 Toy Biz Venom from the 1994 Spider-Man: The Animated Series line. Launched in direct tandem with the Fox Kids cartoon premiere, this figure capitalized on Venom's massive surge in popularity following his breakout comic appearances — making him an instant marquee villain in a lineup that defined Saturday-morning toy shelves for an entire generation. Wave 1 figures tied to that animated series debut are among the most sought-after retrospective pieces in the vintage Toy Biz collector community.
This is a vintage carded example presented on its original purple cityscape backer card, complete with the bold yellow "SPIDER-MAN" logo, Marvel Comics badge, and the iconic orange "JAW CHOMPING ACTION!" callout panel. The card retains its full printed cardback (Item No. 47104), including the Eddie Brock/Venom character bio, action-feature squeeze-leg instructions, and the complete Wave 1 figure lineup grid — Spider-Man (Web Shooter), Dr. Octopus (Whipping Tentacles), Smythe (Double Power Punch), Carnage (Snap-on Weapon Hands), Hobgoblin (Pumpkin Bomb Hurling Action), and Spider-Man (Web Racer) — all present and fully legible. The bubble is intact and the figure is secured in its original tray.
As the standout villain of Wave 1, Venom occupies a unique place in this line — both the most character-recognizable slot and the one with the most playability via the leg-squeeze jaw mechanism. This piece appeals equally to vintage Toy Biz specialists building a complete Wave 1 run and to broader 90s nostalgia collectors who grew up with the Fox Kids cartoon. A genuinely hard-to-find original card in collector-ready condition.

Jays is my first stop in collecting. I preorder things through Walmart, Amazon, Hasbro Pulse, etc., but Jays always seem to get the items and either meet or beat the other companies pricing. I always end up cancelling my pre-orders and going with Jays. Better selection, price and MUCH MUCH better shipping quality. You can't even compare anyone else's shipping and packing to Jays. And that's why Jay's blows them all out of the water.
Great fast shipping, packaging with care. I am definitely buying from Jay's again! Such peace of mind knowing my items will arrive minty. 5 stars!
Perfect and careful packaging, shipped super quick. Thank you, will definitely be following the store!
Didn't pull any punches in item description. Came extremely fast and well packed. Extremely happy being a first time buyer! Thank you.
I've been buying from Jay's for a while now and I am never disappointed with the experience. Prices that can't be beat, easy PayPal option, and lots of bubble wrap surrounding the products. The fact that they go out of their way to make consumers happy keeps me coming back.
This is my 3rd or 4th time I have ordered from Jay's. The orders are always correct and arrive pretty quick and packaged extremely well. Best in the industry.

In-stock ships now; pre-orders ship together once the last one lands, and shipping’s charged on each leg (pro tip: check ship dates before combining pre-orders). Dates can shift — we’ll keep you posted faster than Spider-Man slings webs. And if we ever can’t deliver (rare), you’re not charged a dime.
