WWE Retro Series Goldberg Action Figure (2017 Mattel)
For collectors who grew up with the chunky rubber LJN figures of the 1980s, Mattel's WWE Retro line is pure nostalgia translated into modern tooling — and Goldberg's 2017 entry is one of the line's most sought-after single-carded releases. Timed to coincide with Goldberg's high-profile WWE return in 2016–2017, this standalone retail card was notably the most accessible Mattel Goldberg figure that year; the contemporaneous Elite version was locked behind a costly Ring Playset, making this card the go-to option for collectors who wanted him on their shelf without the premium.
This is a vintage carded example from 2017. The card presents well, featuring the retro-style WWE logo header, a full Goldberg photo background, and the iconic "WHO'S NEXT?" header across the back panel. The bubble houses the chunky, LJN-inspired Goldberg figure alongside his branded tribal display base with a spring-loaded action feature — push down Goldberg's torso to launch him into a Spear. The cardback also depicts the Spear action in illustrated two-step detail and promotes the WWE Mayhem mobile app QR unlock. Assortment mates Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and AJ Styles are pictured on the back.
