Batman: The Animated Series – James Gordon (Platinum Edition) with Lock-Up Collect-to-Build Part (2024 McFarlane Toys)
Commissioner Gordon has been one of the most overlooked characters in BTAS merchandise history, making this McFarlane Toys Platinum Edition release one of the most significant Gordon figures ever produced at a mainstream price point. Part of the Re-Animated Series launched in 2023 as a Target exclusive to mark the show's 30th anniversary, this chase variant carries the same short-pack scarcity model McFarlane established across its DC Multiverse Gold Label line — meaning it appeared far less frequently on retail pegs than standard releases, and demand has only grown among animated-style DC collectors.
This figure is presented in its original window-box blister in carded condition. The red-and-black BTAS-branded packaging carries DC Direct co-branding, a McFarlane Platinum Edition foil sticker on the front blister, and a trilingual "Collect Them All" callout across the bottom. Gordon ships in his signature tan trench coat with metallic Platinum Edition paint application and comes with four interchangeable hands and an alternate masked head. Critically, this is position #2 of the four-figure wave and includes the Lock-Up Collect-to-Build head/hand segment — the back panel displays the full four-part assembly diagram alongside the complete wave lineup.
Sourced and assessed firsthand by Jay's Toys, this is an authentic McFarlane Toys product co-produced with DC Direct. The card face and bubble present well, consistent with a carefully kept carded example.
