DC Direct Batman: The Animated Series – Killer Croc (Platinum Edition) with Collect to Build Jonah Hex (2025 McFarlane Toys)
The McFarlane Toys DC Direct Batman: The Animated Series line set a new benchmark for BTAS collectors when it launched in the early 2020s, pairing animation-accurate sculpts with modern articulation. This Killer Croc is the Platinum Edition chase variant — a monochromatic deco release from McFarlane's multi-year chase programme — pulled from the Jonah Hex Collect-to-Build wave, widely reported as one of the hardest assortments to find at retail. For BTAS fans and McFarlane Platinum hunters alike, it's a meaningful double-chase: a scarce wave and a scarce variant in one package.
The package presents in excellent carded condition. The red card back carries bold DC Direct / McFarlane Toys co-branding, a detailed four-piece Jonah Hex BAF assembly diagram, full-colour animated-style Jonah Hex character art, and a four-figure "Collect Them All" strip showing the other wave members — including a bilingual footer in English, Spanish, and French. The McFarlane Platinum Edition medallion badge is clearly present on the card front. Side panels display the Batman: The Animated Series logo alongside a Killer Croc character art panel, with the DC Direct + McFarlane co-logo badge on the spine. The bubble is intact with no separation or crush. Contents include the Killer Croc figure in its distinctive monochromatic Platinum deco, two pairs of interchangeable hands, and a Jonah Hex BAF piece with accessories.
