Wave 1 of McFarlane Toys' 2020 DC Multiverse relaunch was a turning point for superhero collecting, and this Detective Comics #1000 Batman was its centerpiece. Tied to the landmark anniversary issue, it marked McFarlane's definitive return to superhero figures and set the high-articulation standard the entire line would follow. The classic Blue & Grey colorway makes this variant especially sought after among DC collectors who favor comic-accurate deco over later releases.
This example presents in vintage condition in its original collector-edition black window box. The large front blister window displays the 7.25-inch figure alongside a grappling gun and batarang in the tray. The cardback carries full-art illustration sourced from Detective Comics #1000 (2019), a trilingual header, and the "Collect Them All" strip showing the complete Wave 1 assortment. The collectible trading card (English only, per package notation) remains present — a key detail for completists.
