DC Multiverse Collector Edition Superman & Krypto – Return of Superman (Platinum Edition) (2023 McFarlane Toys)
Few moments in DC history resonate with 90s collectors like the 1993 "Return of Superman" arc — and McFarlane's Collector Edition set captures it at its most iconic. This two-pack spotlights mullet-era Superman alongside Krypto, rendered in period-accurate comic styling that speaks directly to fans who lived through that landmark storyline. As a Platinum Edition chase variant within the DC Multiverse Collector Edition sub-line — McFarlane's highest retail tier — it sits a clear step above standard mass-market releases and is meaningfully harder to track down than the base version.
This set is in vintage condition and presented in its original black McFarlane Collector Edition window-box, which remains intact with the large clear blister window giving a full view of both figures and accessories inside. The box back carries striking full-art Return of Superman comic imagery, and the numbered side panel confirms this as Collector Edition 09. The McFarlane Platinum Edition medallion badge is visible on the front. Superman features 22 points of articulation, and community collectors have noted his head is compatible with other DC Multiverse bodies — a welcome bonus for customizers. Alternate hands and a Krypto companion figure with cape round out the contents.
Jay's Toys sources authentic McFarlane Toys products directly, and each item is individually assessed before listing — what you see in these photos is the exact piece you'll receive. The Platinum Edition designation and low production volume make this a display-ready chase piece with real shelf appeal. If you have questions about condition or compatibility, our team is happy to help before or after purchase. In stock and ready to ship today.
Every graded piece is our honest in-house call — not third-party slabbed. Here's exactly where this one lands, and why.

Every order inspected and packed for the shelf — because we collect this stuff too.
In-stock orders go out fast. No weeks-long waits, no vague timelines.
Not what was described? We make it right. No arguments, no hassle.
Every review here is Judge.me–verified — no cherry-picking, no edits. Just collectors who got their figures mint instead of mangled, and came back to say so.
Jays is my first stop in collecting. I preorder things through Walmart, Amazon, Hasbro Pulse, etc., but Jays always seem to get the items and either meet or beat the other companies pricing. I always end up cancelling my pre-orders and going with Jays. Better selection, price and MUCH MUCH better shipping quality. You can't even compare anyone else's shipping and packing to Jays. And that's why Jay's blows them all out of the water.
Great fast shipping, packaging with care. I am definitely buying from Jay's again! Such peace of mind knowing my items will arrive minty. 5 stars!
Perfect and careful packaging, shipped super quick. Thank you, will definitely be following the store!
Didn't pull any punches in item description. Came extremely fast and well packed. Extremely happy being a first time buyer! Thank you.
I've been buying from Jay's for a while now and I am never disappointed with the experience. Prices that can't be beat, easy PayPal option, and lots of bubble wrap surrounding the products. The fact that they go out of their way to make consumers happy keeps me coming back.
This is my 3rd or 4th time I have ordered from Jay's. The orders are always correct and arrive pretty quick and packaged extremely well. Best in the industry.

Most in-stock orders placed before 12 PM CST ship the same day. We’re label-printing, box-packing machines — without skimping on quality. Your tracking number will probably show up before you’ve even closed the tab.
Every item gets collector-grade treatment: bubble wrap, proper padding, and zero envelope crimes. We pack like your grail’s riding shotgun with us — damage rate is under 1%.
Yep. We’ve been hunting plastic treasures since the ‘90s. We speak fluent collector (MOC, BAF, grail hunting), we’ve camped outside stores for midnight releases, and we run this place like the shop we always wished existed. Professional enablers at your service. 😎
30 days to decide if it’s true love. Not happy? Full refund to your original payment method. Damaged? We replace or refund fast. Just keep items in the condition you got them, and we’ll make it right — because the only drama in collecting should be choosing a display pose. One exception: trading card game product is final sale, since a sealed box can’t be verified once it leaves our hands.
Calling dibs costs you $0 today — we only charge your card when it ships. No awkward “I paid months ago” limbo. Mixing in-stock + pre-orders? In-stock ships now; pre-orders ship together once the last one lands, and shipping’s charged on each leg (pro tip: check ship dates before combining pre-orders). Dates can shift — we’ll keep you posted faster than Spider-Man slings webs. And if we ever can’t deliver (rare), you’re not charged a dime.
