Tora Olafsdotter was born with incredible cryogenic abilities in Norway, and she made the bold decision to leave her homeland to become the Super Hero known as Ice. She quickly developed a strong bond with her fellow heroine Fire, and together they became an unstoppable duo. Ice earned her place as the Scandinavian representative on the United Nations-sponsored Justice League International team. During the team's inaugural mission in Peru, she faced a devastating thermal blast from a massive alien robot, which forced the entire team to fall back and regroup. The JLI didn't back down, though—they tracked down and confronted the robot's controller, an alien resource-plunderer named Peraxxus, ultimately succeeding in driving him off Earth.
