G.I. Joe Classified Series #200 Alejandro Balam "Sundown" Luna Mendoza Action Figure

Bounty hunters don't come more compelling than Alejandro Balam "Sundown" Luna Mendoza — and entry #200 in Hasbro's G.I. Joe Classified Series marks a milestone worth celebrating for any serious Joe collector. A brand-new character introduced to the Classified universe, Sundown brings a distinctly Latin American, frontier-outlaw aesthetic to a line already packed with elite operatives and cult-favorite characters. Whether you're filling out a Classified shelf or chasing every numbered release, this is one figure that earns its spot.

Sundown's backstory is as layered as his loadout. A self-trained tracker and bounty hunter who allies himself with G.I. Joe, he prowls urban back alleys, scorched deserts, and dense jungle canopy in relentless pursuit of justice — and of Headman, the Lords of the Underworld crime boss responsible for the disappearance of his brother Salvador. That personal vendetta gives the character an intensity that Hasbro's sculpt team has clearly leaned into: the face features sharp, weathered detail with a close-cropped beard, and the body is layered in worn leather tactical gear, a bullet-loop belt, dual hip holsters, and spur-equipped boots that read as authentically road-worn.

The figure's standout piece is the removable poncho, rendered in blue with an intricate Mesoamerican-inspired geometric print on the reverse — a culturally rich design detail that distinguishes Sundown from anything else in the current Classified lineup. The poncho drapes naturally and can be removed entirely to reveal the full tactical vest and holster rig beneath, effectively giving you two distinct display configurations in a single figure.

At the standard Classified 6-inch (1:12) scale, Sundown integrates seamlessly with existing figures in the line and benefits from the multiple points of articulation the series is known for — allowing dynamic posed displays whether you're staging a desert showdown or a dense jungle stalk. The plastic construction is solid throughout, with paint application that rewards close inspection: note the turquoise accent on the right holster and the badge detail on the cowboy hat.

This unit was personally inspected upon receipt and is confirmed factory sealed in original Hasbro Classified Series packaging. The box shows no warehouse damage, and the window panel displays the figure and accessories cleanly. As entry #200, this release holds particular significance for completionists tracking the Classified Series run. Stock is live and available now — if Sundown has been on your list, don't let him slip away.
