Figure #34 in JoyToy's Hardcore Coldplay (硬核酷玩) Army Builder Promotion Pack series is a standout entry for 1/18-scale military customisers and diorama builders. Released as part of the #32–#36 wave circa 2022–2023, the Jetpack Mercenary brought a sci-fi tactical flavour to the line, distinguished by its all-black armour, striking red visor, and the signature jetpack rig that sets it apart from the ground-assault figures in the same wave. The series earned a devoted following for delivering exceptional articulation and accessory depth at an accessible price point.
This example is carded and presents in vintage condition on the original dark military-art blister card with yellow tray backer. The front carries the JoyToy yellow-badge logo and Hardcore Coldplay branding; the rear card shows the figure number "34" in yellow alongside full product and regulatory details (Product ID JT1538, ABS/PVC construction, GB/T 26701-2011, CE mark). Inside the bubble the figure is accompanied by a large sniper rifle, a compact submachine gun, a jetpack unit, and a fuel-canister accessory with red detail — all clearly visible through the intact, unpunched blister.
The Hardcore Coldplay sub-line is widely regarded by the 1/18 community as an ideal army-builder platform, and the Jetpack Mercenary is one of the most visually distinctive entries in the run.
