Jay's Grade — our honest in-house call, not third-party slabbed.
Few X-Men figures capture the raw nostalgia of the 90s animated era quite like this one. Released in 2023 to celebrate the Disney+ revival series X-Men '97 — itself a direct continuation of the beloved 1990s X-Men: The Animated Series — this Marvel Legends Gambit is purpose-built for fans who grew up watching the Ragin' Cajun on Saturday mornings. It's the definitive single-carded release, distinct from the later Basketball 2-Pack exclusive, which uses a repurposed body and is widely regarded as a separate, more divisive item by the collector community.
The figure is presented on the black-and-yellow X-Men '97 branded card (item no. 31611), featuring vibrant animated-series artwork on the front header under Marvel Studios / Disney+ branding. The cardback displays portrait tiles for five wave-mates — Magneto, Wolverine, Marvel's Rogue, Storm, and Marvel's Bishop — alongside a full-art render of Gambit in his signature trench coat with a charged playing card. The card face and bubble are intact and display-ready, consistent with the carded vintage condition assessed firsthand. The figure itself wears his iconic animated costume: glossy pink body suit, metallic blue armor panels, and long brown trench coat — paint choices that the collector community has repeatedly praised for their screen accuracy. Accessories include a bo staff and charged playing cards with energy effect, both signature tools of the character.

Every review here is Judge.me–verified — no cherry-picking, no edits. Just collectors who got their figures mint instead of mangled, and came back to say so.
Jays is my first stop in collecting. I preorder things through Walmart, Amazon, Hasbro Pulse, etc., but Jays always seem to get the items and either meet or beat the other companies pricing. I always end up cancelling my pre-orders and going with Jays. Better selection, price and MUCH MUCH better shipping quality. You can't even compare anyone else's shipping and packing to Jays. And that's why Jay's blows them all out of the water.
Great fast shipping, packaging with care. I am definitely buying from Jay's again! Such peace of mind knowing my items will arrive minty. 5 stars!
Perfect and careful packaging, shipped super quick. Thank you, will definitely be following the store!
Didn't pull any punches in item description. Came extremely fast and well packed. Extremely happy being a first time buyer! Thank you.
I've been buying from Jay's for a while now and I am never disappointed with the experience. Prices that can't be beat, easy PayPal option, and lots of bubble wrap surrounding the products. The fact that they go out of their way to make consumers happy keeps me coming back.
This is my 3rd or 4th time I have ordered from Jay's. The orders are always correct and arrive pretty quick and packaged extremely well. Best in the industry.

Most in-stock orders placed before 12 PM CST ship the same day. We’re label-printing, box-packing machines — without skimping on quality. Your tracking number will probably show up before you’ve even closed the tab.
Every item gets collector-grade treatment: bubble wrap, proper padding, and zero envelope crimes. We pack like your grail’s riding shotgun with us — damage rate is under 1%.
Yep. We’ve been hunting plastic treasures since the ‘90s. We speak fluent collector (MOC, BAF, grail hunting), we’ve camped outside stores for midnight releases, and we run this place like the shop we always wished existed. Professional enablers at your service. 😎
30 days to decide if it’s true love. Not happy? Full refund to your original payment method. Damaged? We replace or refund fast. Just keep items in the condition you got them, and we’ll make it right — because the only drama in collecting should be choosing a display pose. One exception: trading card game product is final sale, since a sealed box can’t be verified once it leaves our hands.
Calling dibs costs you $0 today — we only charge your card when it ships. No awkward “I paid months ago” limbo. Mixing in-stock + pre-orders? In-stock ships now; pre-orders ship together once the last one lands, and shipping’s charged on each leg (pro tip: check ship dates before combining pre-orders). Dates can shift — we’ll keep you posted faster than Spider-Man slings webs. And if we ever can’t deliver (rare), you’re not charged a dime.
