The Simpsons World of Springfield Interactive Figure – Comic Book Guy (Series 15) (2003 Playmates Toys)
Comic Book Guy arrived in Series 15 of Playmates' World of Springfield line — one of the final waves of a collection that ran from 2000 to 2004 and remains the definitive licensed Simpsons toy line of its era. Late-series entries like this one see far fewer mint-on-card survivors than earlier waves, making him a meaningful pickup for WOS completists and early-2000s Simpsons collectors alike. The Intelli-Tronic Voice Activation system — this line's signature feature — lets him trigger character-specific voice clips when placed on a compatible Interactive Environment playset such as the Comic Book Shop, Krusty Burger, Main Street, or Town Square.
This is a vintage 2003 original on its Series 15 blister card. The bold black-top header with red and yellow Simpsons artwork is present, along with the Intelli-Tronic callout and a Stonecutter Lenny exclusive figure offer starburst. All three Radioactive Man mini-comic accessories are accounted for and visible within the bubble. The card back displays the full Series 15 figure roster and compatible environment listings. The bubble shows light yellowing on close inspection from the side — consistent with two decades of storage — and the bottom right corner of the card carries a slight forward crease. The card face itself presents well overall.
